When prolific Illuminati members start dying suddenly, investigations begin into their horrible deaths. All is not as it seems.
It all starts with the murder of the curator of the British Museum in London who falls from a balcony with strange markings his torso and his body bled dry.
This in turn is followed by the untimely death of a leading Chinese politician in Hong Kong who is discovered dead in his Villa with his face disfigured with Chinese runes.
An investigation begins and British and Chinese investigators find themselves in the unusual position of having to collaborate and share information to prevent further deaths. With the killer on the loose, Detective Marshal Fowler and his counterpart Agent Zhen are faced with the option of letting go of their pride and working together to bring an end to these deaths.
However, in an attempt to disrupt, curtail and ultimately imprison those responsible for these crimes, the men are thrown into a whole new web of lies and deceit and find themselves constricted by the constraints of their governments.
